About LineageOS
A free and open-source Android distribution for phones and tablets, built from AOSP with a small set of additions and support for devices that stopped receiving updates from their manufacturer. No Google apps or services are included by default.
- Official builds signed by LineageOS, delivered over OTA
- Weekly builds with upstream Android security patches
- Privacy Guard and per-app permission control
- Support for devices the vendor has abandoned
- No Google apps, no telemetry, no bundled store
Note
Flashing needs an unlocked bootloader plus a custom recovery or fastboot. Being on the official device list means a maintainer exists and builds are signed - it does not mean every feature works on every device.
